When you put like {{Switch Monster|Matchling or 1|img}}, it returns '001.png'.
{{Switch Monster|Matchling or 1|name}}takes 'Matchling'.{{Switch Monster|Matchling or 1|number}}takes '1'.{{Switch Monster|Matchling or 1|stat|affinity}}takes 'Fire'.
The stat sub selector don't require with any selectors unless the 'stat' selector.
